However, when I enquired more fully about what was involved on the day, it really did seem like fun and I began to be more optimistic about him enjoying himself. Eventually I decided that I would buy him this for Christmas and, unfortunately, could not resist telling him about it beforehand. However, it had a really good effect on him. He was absolutely delighted with what I had chosen for him and has done nothing but research what will be involved on the day since. I really hope we will be able to get through Christmas without him going on about it incessantly.
